All the World's a Stage

 Many dream of being up on stage or their names in lights.  This week, we're sharing teen books featuring stories about theater, movies, and television.  Here's a few of our favorites . . . .

It's a Hard Knock Life: Stories of Orphans

It seems a common theme in children's books -- the plucky orphan going on an adventure.  Here are a few of our favorites . . . .

Tales, Legends, and Myths Retold

All About Water

 This March, the Jefferson County Library is focusing on water and aquatic animals with our Dive In! promotion.  So this week I'm sharing picture books featuring water and the animals that live in it.  Here are a few of our favorites . . . .

Winners from the Past -- The Mark Twain Award

This week, we're sharing some of our favorite winners from past years of the Mark Twain Award.

Got Game?

This week, I'm sharing sports stories for teens.  Here are a few of our favorites . . . .

So You Like Video Games . . . .

Water Habitats and the Life in Them

The focus for March at the library is Dive In!  A promotion all about water and water animals.  This week, we're sharing some informational books are water habitats and the life in them.  Here are a few of our favorites . . . .

Birds of the World

In January, the focus at the JCL-Arnold Branch was Birds.  It was the focus of much of our programming.  So, this week, I am sharing some great nonfiction, informational books about birds.

At the library we often get asked to help find books that caught a person's eye on a previous visit.  Sometimes all we get to try to find the book is that it was for teens and it had a red and black cover.  So this week, we're sharing some books that fit that description . . . .
