Pinch Proof Picture Books for St. Patrick's Day

With St. Patrick's Day quickly approaching, I'm sharing picture books featuring green objects.  Here are a few of my favorites . . . .

Story Time Favorites

We are often asked for recommendations of books to read to classrooms and group settings.  So this wee, I am sharing some of our favorite books to use for story time.  These are great books to use in group settings for kids of all ages.

St. Patrick's Day is coming up this week which means parents and teachers are wanting books for the holiday to read to their kids.  Unfortunately, there are not a huge amount of books about St. Patrick's Day and they are usually already checked out.  So this week, I'm sharing some of my favorite books about the color green  . . .

Sing a Song with Your Child

I love music!  Other than reading, it is probably the thing I love the most.  So it's wonderful when music and books are blended together.  Here are some of my favorite picture books based on songs . . .

It's Not Easy Being Green

This year I decided to do a display at the library for St. Patrick's Day.  Since the few St. Patrick's books we have go out so quickly, I decided to instead focus on the color green.  So the display contains books that feature items that are green.  And for the display title I picked one of my favorite characters and songs of all time -- Kermit the Frog's "It's Not Easy Being Green".
